Wind speed seems to be correlated to a few factors, mostly temperature and humidity. Latitude does not seem to bear any relation to wind speed across the globe. It is noted that the spread of Wind speed is so varied that no real conclusion can be drawn in relation to contributing factors. Wind speed is usually paired with weather events i.e low and high pressure zones instead of location temperature / location or realative humidity.
